Maize Distribution

Our recent Christmas party was a welcomed break for our young learners from the harsh realities of life in Malawi.

However, immediately afterwards, it was a quick return to normality. Right now, in Malawi most families associated with the foundation have no food in their homes on a daily basis.

We were very happy to be able to provide each family with a bag of maize & 1.5kgs on beans. The parents left the campus very happy to have food for their families over the Christmas period.

The main cause of the food shortages being experienced currently in Malawi is that the anticipated rains have not come. Crops are dying. Even some recent rains which accompanied cyclone Chido had little positive effect on the situation.

We expect the food shortage to extend at least up to May 2025.
